Solar Shepherds is an Agrivoltaics Consulting Service started by four graduate students studying sustainable technology at Appalachian State. Our goal is to help make solar energy production more sustainable by working with solar developers to integrate agricultural production and soil restoration. Through dual-land use as well as a knowledge of both the solar industry and sustainable agricultural practices we can aid in making a greener tomorrow. 

Our consulting services provide a much needed assistance for EPCs and solar contractors to help make their solar projects more sustainable. Our consulting provides insight into panel spacing, agricultural production, maintenance practices and ground cover management. ​
